Incentivised Giving: Why Charitabl. is Making Generosity Worth Celebrating

At Charitabl., we want to make sure generosity remains at the core of the human experience. But, what people don’t realise is there is an inherently selfish side to generosity and if understood and incentivised can lead to greater impact and engagement.

That’s why we’re pioneering what we call incentivised giving.

In 2024 we ran our first ever Giving Week and saw something remarkable:

- 40% of donors gave to more than one charity
- 91 different charities supported
- And most exciting of all, 35% of donations went to charities that user had never given to before

This wasn’t simply a successful campaign it was a confirmation that when giving is incentivised people both give more, and more often.

So why does incentivised giving work?

There’s a common misconception that rewarding generosity cheapens it. That if you get something in return, it’s no longer selfless. But that’s not how human behaviour works—and it’s not how generosity works either.

Incentivised giving doesn’t undo good works. It unlocks them.

We’re influenced by incentives every day in our lives.

Free coffee with every 10 purchased.
Spend $50 and get $5 off.
Re-share XYZ for your chance to win.

Our lives are bombarded, driven and rewarded by way of incentive.

At Charitabl., we decided to take the same logic that influences each of our lives and purpose it for good.

Introducing: 7 Days. 7 Prizes. 7 Chances to Give.

As we close in on EOFY, we’re running a one-week campaign to celebrate giving and reward generosity.

From Sunday 22nd, June, every donation made through the Charitabl. app will go into the draw to win one of 7 epic prizes—one for each day of the week.

Tuesday - Ninja Mini Blender

Wednesday - Kodak Film Camera + Anker Charging Pad

Thursday - 2 x Yeti Travel Cups

Friday - Endota Spa Voucher

Saturday - Hommey Robe + Sol de Janerio Pack

Big brands. Big prizes. Big generosity.

You don’t need to spend big to win. You just need to give—$5 or more, to any charity on the app and every donation is an entry into that day’s draw.

Why it matters

In the face of a cost of living crisis, increasing tension and hostility around the world charities are needing resources more than ever as the inbound requests for help sky rocket.

It's important to remember when people give through Charitabl., 100% of their donation goes to the charity—no fees, no commissions, no surprise deductions. It is cheaper than giving through a charities own website.

We’re building a new culture of giving—one that’s free from pressure, full of potential, and open to everyone.

So whether you’re donating to your favourite cause, supporting something new, or just want to have a chance to win something cool - we’d love you to be part of this.

Download the app. Make a donation. You’re in the draw.

7 days. 7 prizes. 7 chances to do good.
