Our story

The Story Behind Charitabl.

For more than fifteen years, I had the privilege of working alongside charities, donors and communities across Australia and around the world.

I've travelled to more than forty countries. Led humanitarian programs in conflict zones and disaster-affected communities across Lebanon, Iraq, Indonesia, Tajikistan and beyond. Raised millions of dollars from generous Australians. Worked alongside some of the most inspiring people I've ever met.

And through all of those experiences — through the refugee camps and the flood-affected communities and the backstreets of cities most people will never visit — one question kept coming back to me.

Why does it cost so much to receive a donation?

The more time I spent in the sector, the more I realised something wasn't quite right. People wanted to give. Charities needed support. Yet too much money was being lost to fees, friction, administration and outdated systems.

It wasn't a generosity problem. It was an infrastructure problem. That realisation became the foundation for Charitabl.

The beginning of the story

The opportunity

Australia Doesn't Have A Generosity Problem.

For years we've heard conversations about declining donations, changing donor behaviour and growing competition for attention. And while those challenges are real, they only tell part of the story.

Because generosity is everywhere.

People buying coffee for strangers.
Communities rallying around families in crisis.
Volunteers giving their time.
Neighbours helping neighbours.

Generosity remains one of the most powerful forces in society. The challenge isn't that people care less. The challenge is that the systems supporting generosity haven't evolved alongside the way people live.

The future of generosity isn't about convincing people to care more. It's about making it easier for people who already do.

The challenge isn't willingness.
It's infrastructure.

Our belief

Generosity Is The Only Universal Language.

Generosity transcends wealth, race, religion, politics and geography. It is one of the few things that connects us all. Long before technology, governments and institutions, people helped one another.

That simple act of giving remains one of the most powerful social cohesion tools known to humanity.

That's why every product, partnership and initiative we create is focused on one thing — helping more money reach the people and causes that need it most.

Generosity is the only universal language on the planet.
Our job isn't to create it.
Our job is to build the infrastructure that helps make it effortless to speak.

Why we exist

Giving Deserves The Same Level Of Innovation.

At Charitabl., we believe the best innovations increase impact. They don't reduce it. Technology has transformed almost every part of modern life.

Uber changed transport. Spotify changed music. Airbnb changed travel. Netflix changed entertainment.

Each removed friction. Each increased accessibility. Each changed behaviour. Giving deserves the same level of innovation.

That's why we're rebuilding the infrastructure of giving from the ground up. Helping people give. Helping communities give together. Helping charities keep more of every dollar raised.

Because more money should go to the cause, not the cost.
